The people who visited the other trulli realize, going up the stairs, the precise feeling that what they are visiting is a special and extraordinary trullo, really unique. Such a feeling is still clearer once you arrive here, on the first floor. It was utilized as bedroom for guests and as a place for weaving too. Weaving was a typical activity of Alberobello women during winter.

The trap-door, closed by a wooden cap, permits the entrance to a large wheat warehouse obtained in the room between the entrance vault of the ground-floor and the flooring of the first floor. When needed, it became a certain and convenient hiding-place, very useful during the time of highwaymen.

The rooms of the first floorhave by the way a recent history that in some way presents strange and unheard of cinematographic turns as well. In fact, at the beginning of 50's, when there were no hotels in Alberobello, the actress Valentina Cortese was given hospitality here.

She was a star of the cinema and theatre. She stayed in our small town to play, as protagonist together with Gino Cervi, a short-film about a concentration camp, located in Alberobello during the post-war period. In late years various scenes of a film played by Marcello Mastroianni and Moira Orfei were taken.
